FESTIVAL ACTIVITY
See what actually happened in your camps.
Festival Activity is a desktop app that builds a timeline of your work from git history and Festival progress, across every camp you have. It reads your repositories on your machine and shows you the shape of a month, a quarter, or a single afternoon.
01 / WHAT YOU SEE
One path, from the whole workspace down to a document.
MACOS AND LINUX
The app is built around one movement: start wide, then narrow until you are looking at the file that explains the week.
- The overview. Every camp in one graph, sized by what happened in the period you picked. A strip along the bottom shows each bucket, so a quiet fortnight and a heavy one are visible before you read a single number.
- A camp. Click one and the graph redraws around it: its projects, their commits, files changed, insertions and deletions, and the festivals running inside it.
- A project. The repository under that camp, with its own activity and the work items that touched it.
- A work item. The festival, intent, or design folder the work belongs to, linked to the commits that moved it.
- A document. The markdown itself, rendered in the app, so the phase goal or the design note is one click from the commit that changed it.
Work is split by who did it. Commits you authored, commits an agent authored, and commits from automation are counted separately, because a month where an agent wrote most of the code is a different month from one where you did.
- BUILDS FROM
- git history and Festival progress
- PERIODS
- Week, month, quarter
- SCOPE
- Every camp, one camp, one project
- STORAGE
- ~/.obey/plugins/camp-timeline
02 / WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
It reads. That is all.
NO AGENTS, NO UPLOADS
It does not edit your documents, run agents, or change anything in your repositories. It reads git history and the files Festival already writes, and it builds a timeline from them.
Nothing about your work is sent anywhere. The timeline is built on your machine and stays there. The only network requests the app makes are activating, renewing, and deactivating your license.
- WRITES
- Its own data directory, nothing else
- SENDS
- License activation and renewal only
- NEEDS
- No account, no sign in
03 / REQUIREMENTS
What it runs on.
NOT WINDOWS
macOS 13 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel. Linux on x86_64, as an AppImage or a deb. There is no Windows build.
Camp and Fest are installed separately and are free. Festival Activity reads the camps they manage, so it needs them present. It also needs git on your PATH.
You do not have to check any of that yourself. If something is missing, the app names the tool and what to install, and rechecks without restarting.
